Animal charity seeks 2,500 volunteers to help wildlife

TheRSPCAisseeking2,500volunteerstohelpwildlife.
The‘WildlifeFriends’initiative,launchedin2023,aimstocreateamillion-strongmovementtoprotectanimalsbyundertakingsimpletasksingardensandoutdoorspaces.
Thesetasks,suchascreatingminiwildlifepondsorprovidingwildlifedrinkingstations,helppreventinjuriestoanimalsandfreeupRSPCAstafftotacklecasesofcrueltyandneglect.
RSPCAvolunteerexperiencepartnerSherryFlanagansaid:“Thissummer,alittlekindnessgoesalongway.
“Theyaresmallactsofkindnesswhichtakeafewminutes,buttheywillmakeabigdifferencetowildlife.”
ADVERTISEMENTTherearecurrentlyaround7,200peoplevolunteeringwiththeRSPCAacrossEnglandandWales.
Volunteerssignupviaanonlineappandchoosefromamenuofactivities,loggingdetailsandpicturesoftheircompletedtasks.
Morethan10,209wildanimalswereadmittedtoRSPCAwildlifecentreslastyear.
